HAPPY HEALTHY NEW YEAR TO YA!!

I hope this mail finds you well, refreshed and busy in this New Year Yay 2016 – Gonna be great!

I know its been a while since we last met but it was necessary.

I am back, feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the year, I hope you are all on board – WELCOME BACK!

Such a thrilling moment to write and apply to walk in Pride as HOO! Yaaaaaahhhoooooo! I feel so proud of our warm special group.  Finer details to follow!!

This year we will not be having a meet up in February because we will meet up at the Pride Parade 2016, I hope we and your children, can count on your support. I would also like to open this up to extended family friends and allies may also join our group, I just need numbers please.

Last year was a great success and we were able to get our HOO name out there.  I hope this year will be equally positive. With your support we can achieve a much safer place for our children no matter what age.

Please mark down the 20th of Feb at Pride Parade and please lets confirm you will be walking with us so that we can co-ordinate and do a bit of planning. So exciting! The vibe and buzz is exhilarating every time.

After Pride we will begin our monthly meetings again. We will meet on the 2nd of March which is the first Wednesday of the month. If you would like we can take a vote on meeting at RY or in Remuera for a change at the Ray Freeman library (I can arrange this if i know well in advance – let me know your preference).

Lastly, I watch a great movie called  “PRIDE”

— “wasimages.jpeg inspired by an extraordinary true story. It’s the summer of 1984, Margaret Thatcher is in power and the National Union of Mineworkers is on strike, prompting a London-
based group of gay and lesbian activists to raise money to support the strikers’ families. Initially rebuffed by the Union, the group identifies a tiny mining village in Wales and sets off to make their donation in person. As the strike drags on, the two groups discove
r that standing together makes for the strongest union of all.”
Well worth a watch – I thought it was great!

HOPE TO HEAR BACK FROM YOU ALL SOON
HUGE HUG HELLO
FROM ME – Amanda
